Meditation Retreats
Retreats are an excellent opportunity to deepen your meditation practice by allowing you to cultivate self-awareness for an extended period without distraction. We offer a January offsite residential retreat, a summer onsite commuter retreat, and onsite monthly one-day retreats. While our retreats are conducted mainly in silence, there are also Dhamma talks and opportunities for questions and answers.
Our one-day retreats take place on the third Saturday of every month, and run from 10:00 to 4:00. Attendees should bring a bag lunch with them. There is also a full kitchen available for their use.
Retreats are usually led by Achan Da Sammakhato, an ordained Thai Forest Monks and meditation master who has been teaching for decades. Many of our retreats are also assisted by Michael Bresnan, a licensed psychologist and Dhamma teacher who is also the founder of the Redding Center.
A few beds are available for non-residential programs for people traveling from a distance. Please contact Michael.s@cfmim.org for more information.
